Six Week - Beginner Course
2pm - 5pm
CLASS / COURSE DESCRIPTION
Seven - 3 hour classes to be taken over 6 to 7 weeks - £250 You will be paying only for six weeks and the seventh week is free. We chose this format because over a six week period we notice many people might miss 1 or 2 classes. This is for people who have completed a taster course or two and want to get a little more serious. It might also suit folks who have already had some experience elsewhere. - On this course there will be a teacher who will talk you through what you want to do next. - Do you want to practice your wheel throwing and refine your skills? - Do you want to try hand building or maybe you want to try other techniques like pinch potting, the most basic form of potting or coiling, slab building or sculpture. - This course is the point where you will start exploring techniques for yourself and generally just improving your all round skills. What to bring: Aprons are good …you will get mucky especially if you are throwing and if you don’t get mucky we want to know why. Note! Be careful putting very dirty aprons in a washing machine on a regular basis. We suggest rinsing the worst of the clay out by hand in a bucket and throwing that water in the garden or down the loo. Up to you! Wear sensible non slippy shoes please We have all the tools and materials but you are welcome to bring your own tools.
