This means we are not only able to fire all our student’s pottery but we can offer our kiln services to other local potters. We will create a newsfeed and diary which will indicate when we are firing up and what type of firing [ biscuit or stoneware ].

We may even be able to offer your own private kiln hire. We have three kilns of around 100 plus litres and one giant which will do 300 litres. We have enough power to run them all at the same time if needed.

The rate for hiring space will vary depending on whether you are a member or not. Being a member will be the most cost effective. It will also depend on whether you help load and unload the kiln but since this requires some skill and a lot of care this will not be available to just anybody.

If you want to hire a whole kiln for yourself then we will give you a three-day window to load, fire cool down and remove your pots. This will only happen after we get to know who you are and can trust your competency and respect for our work environment.
