We’re pleased to introduce Open Access Studio sessions - relaxed, self-directed time in the pottery studio to work on your own creative projects or just practice time.

Each session costs £30 for approximately three hours (just £10 per hour). We’ve kept the price as reasonable as possible to make independent practice accessible and affordable.

Open Access is for potters who are ready to work independently. It’s your time to practise, experiment and develop your own ideas. There’s no formal teaching during these sessions, although a responsible person will always be present in the studio. This is very much about giving you the space to learn through doing.

Before booking, you’ll need to complete a studio induction so you can confidently find your way around, understand how the studio runs, and use the equipment safely. If you’ve attended several classes and Stephen Hamilton (our resident boss potter!) feels you’re ready, you may be approved without a separate induction.

Sessions must be pre-booked via the website - book your initial Session as your studio induction.

 

After your have been approved you can then purchase a five-session voucher for £150, which can be used at any designated Open Access times and is valid for six months from the date of purchase.

We’re starting with a small group and allowing things to grow steadily. For this to work, everyone needs to use the space with care and respect.
