CLASS / COURSE DESCRIPTION

Three classes each of 3 hours. 3 week taster course cost £135 The first session concentrates on making your pieces. These can be thrown on the wheel or hand built. Second session is tidying up and trimming your pots. Third session you get to paint your pots and slip, decorate or glaze them. You will be guided though by a teacher. Firing the pots you make on this course is not included but they can be glazed and fired. The cost of firing is £10 per kilo of clay. so about £5 for a mug or small bowl. What to bring: Aprons are good …you will get mucky especially if you are throwing and if you don’t get mucky we want to know why. Note! Be careful putting very dirty aprons in a washing machine on a regular basis. We suggest rinsing the worst of the clay out by hand in a bucket and throwing that water in the garden or down the loo. Up to you! Wear sensible non slippy shoes please We have all the tools and materials but you are welcome to bring your own tools.
